Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST)

The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a statewide progress monitoring system aligned to the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards. FAST is designed to support teaching and learning by providing timely, reliable feedback on student performance throughout the school year.

FAST assessments are computer-adaptive, meaning the test adjusts in difficulty based on each student's responses. Students receive a unique set of questions from a common item bank, ensuring a personalized assessment experience. Each test includes approximately 35–40 questions that reflect the full range of grade-level standards.
